Why this works
TeraSaver only reads the metadata of a public share. The share code is carried as a path segment or a surl query parameter, and that metadata is readable without signing in. No TeraBox credentials are ever entered. What the tool actually hands you is the final download address. That address is served by the source CDN, so the file travels straight from TeraBox to the iPhone and never passes through TeraSaver. The CDN answers range requests, which is why seeking works, and the file name comes through Content-Disposition. Limits worth knowing
- Safari on iPhone cannot resume an interrupted download. If your connection drops mid-file, the download starts again from zero. On a computer, a download manager or browser that supports resume is the better answer for large files.
- iOS downloads the entire file before it can be opened, so free space on the iPhone must be at least the file size. For very large files, a device with more storage is the better answer.
- Files inside a shared folder are downloaded one per tap. Safari does not batch-download a folder, so you will tap each file individually. A desktop browser is the better answer when you need the whole folder.
