Privacy
Most of what follows is decided by how the service is built rather than by a promise we make. That is the stronger guarantee of the two.
What we never see
- Your TeraBox account. You never sign in, so no credentials reach us.
- Your files. Downloads run directly between TeraBox's content network and your device. The bytes do not pass through our servers, so there is nothing for us to inspect or keep.
- What you did with the file afterwards. Once your browser has the source address, we are out of the transaction.
What we do not store
We do not keep the share links you paste. They are used to fetch the file list and are not written to a database against you or your device.
What we do record
- Aggregate service data. How often resolves succeed or fail, which error codes occur, and how long requests take. Used to keep the service working and to publish the figures on this site. Aggregate only, with no link contents and nothing that identifies a person.
- Basic request data. Standard web server information, kept briefly, for security and abuse prevention.
- Daily limits. Anonymous use is capped per day, which requires counting requests from a device. The count is what we need; the contents are not.
- Which pages get read. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people arrive on and where they came from, so we know what to write next.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics runs on this site. It sets cookies and reports page visits to Google, which means Google receives data about your visit under its own policies, not ours. We use it to see which pages are read and which searches bring people here.
What it never sees: the links you paste. Analytics measures which pages you read, not what you open with the tool. The share link never leaves the request that resolves it, and it is not written into any analytics event.
Analytics does not run on our operator dashboard, and it does not run if your browser blocks it. Blocking it changes nothing about how the tool works for you.
Third parties
Two, and only two. Google Analytics, described above. And the download itself, which is served by TeraBox's own content network — that request reaches TeraBox directly and is covered by their policies rather than ours. We do not control it and cannot speak for it.
Your requests
We do not build a profile of you ourselves, so on our side there is usually little to export or erase. What Google Analytics holds is governed by Google's own controls, and you can block it in your browser at any time.
